Special Weekends at Shrine Mont during the Corona Pandemic

Shrine Mont's mission is to be "A Place Apart" and during these strange times we want to be available to provide you and your loved ones a safe and enjoyable option as a retreat.  In light of the ever changing environment Shrine Mont will open 10 of our cottages for households to rent so you have a chance to get away beginning on the weekend of May 29, 2020.

Come walk our trails, sit on a porch, take in the fresh air and enjoy all that nature has to offer.

Due to the current conditions:

  • Shrine Mont cannot provide food service or other public offerings.  The Virginia House, Brown Hall and Art Hall are closed.
  • Each cottage has facilities for guests to prepare their own meals and there are restaurants nearby that offer delivery or pick up.
  • Our guidelines require that guests avoid interaction with guests staying in other cottages and that all Shrine Mont visitors follow social distancing, masking and other recommendations set forth by the CDC.
  • Shrine Mont's housekeeping staff will disinfect the cottages before guests arrive and provide a cleaning kit for each cottage so guests can wipe down light switches and other commonly touched surfaces.
  • Shrine Mont guests will need to bring their own pillow, bedspreads and blankets.  Upon request Shrine Mont can provide sheets, towels and bath mats at additional expense.
  • Additionally guests will need to provide their own tennis rackets, fishing poles and other recreational equipment
  • For the time being the swimming pool is closed
