Meade Cottage

Originally an ice house for a neighboring cottage, Meade Cottage was rebuilt by a Mrs. Overton Dennis and given to Shrine Mont. The cottage is named for Miss Margaret Meade who taught in the Orkney Springs School in the nineteenth century and for the Rt. Rev. William Meade, D.D., the third bishop of Virginia.

Meade is located northeast of the Tucker Dining Hall. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a living room with fireplace and a large screened porch.
