Tucker Hall

Tucker Hall is the central meeting and dining facility for those people who stay in the cottages Uphill.

The complex includes:

• Art Hall, home of a collection of 78 paintings by the 19th century artist John Douglas Woodward, uncle of Shrine Mont’s founder. This facility also serves as a meeting space for up to fifty people.

• Brown Hall, a central gathering area and sitting room for guests to relax and have a cup of coffee between meals. In cool weather there is a fire in the large fireplace welcoming guests from the cold.
  
  
• A kitchen and four dining rooms that serve up to 300 people family style at tables of 8-10 people.
  
  
• Tucker Lodge is a comfortable and convenient sleeping quarters with six double bedrooms and four bathrooms.

• The Bird Cage is a large screened gazebo and a popular gathering place.
  
  
• The original building of this complex is now the first dining room. Shrine Mont’s founder the Rev. Edmund Lee Woodward built the first kitchen to the north of the dining room and later built Brown Hall and additional dining rooms to accommodate the growing number of guests coming to Shrine Mont. In 1945 Art Hall and Tucker Lodge were added. Later two more dining rooms were added and expanded to accommodate guests and the St. George’s Camp.
