Why should kids have all the fun?

Summer Camp for grownups provides a camp-style experience for folks who have “matured” a bit, yet still enjoy the recreation and reflection that Shrine Mont provides. We combine a spiritual dynamic that is directed towards an adult audience with plenty of opportunity for fun and fellowship.

The Rev. Thom Blair will join us and lead conversations about the parables.

Thom Blair earned his undergraduate degree from Davidson College, his M Div from Virginia Theological Seminary, and his Ph. D from Duke University.  He was ordained as a priest in the Diocese of Virginia and served in parishes and schools for over three decades, retiring from St. Stephen’s Richmond in 2004.

Since then Thom has lived mainly in Richmond and has shared his teaching gifts in various capacities.  Thom led an adult Bible study on Sunday mornings at St. James’s Richmond for a number of years, and drew a large, dedicated audience.

Please join us to hear his unique blend of intellect, humility, and humor.  You will truly be enriched.

Each day’s schedule will be a mix of programming and activities for all to enjoy.

Activities include:

• Bonfire and cookout

• Coffee House and Talent Show

• Swimming

• Trips to Bryce Resort for golf*

• Napping

• Wine tasting and a winery tour*

• Hikes to Seven Springs and the Cross

• Shopping excursions up and down the Valley*

• Spiritual growth and reflection

All activities are optional and campers are welcome to spend time rocking on the porch, reading a book, going for a walk or doing whatever you want to do to relax and enjoy all that Shrine Mont has to offer.

Double occupancy: $375 per person
Single occupancy: $418 per person
