Fall is a time for slowing down, letting go of the quick pace of summer and the return to school, and is an opportunity for reconnecting with yourself. What better place to step into the pace of fall than at Shrine Mont on the edge of the George Washington Forest in the Appalachian Mountains.
As the body quiets, the mind too desires stillness. Mindfulness Meditation offers the mind the opportunity to let go of its thinking and step into simply being. No prior meditation experience is needed, but if you are experienced, bring your cushion and join us.
In addition to mindfulness meditation the weekend will include an evening music and imagery meditation, walking meditation at the outdoor labyrinth (weather permitting), hiking, camp fire, and collage making if you desire. There is time for connecting with friends, reading or napping … whatever the soul needs.
Brenda Burgner will be our instructor for the weekend. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Fellow and Trainer by the Association for Music and Imagery and a certified Mindfulness Teacher. She combines her thirty years of experience to help people connect with their own strengths and inner wisdom.
Highlights include:
• A music and imagery meditation
• Stunning nature to nourish the soul
• Guided Hike
• Campfire
• Good food and Fellowship
