Don’t miss this evening of Americana at its best!
The Travelin’ McCourys are at the top of their game after winning a 2019 Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album. Brothers – Ronnie on mandolin and Rob on banjo – were born into the bluegrass tradition, spending years on the road with their dad, renowned bluegrass musician Del McCoury. This experience helped them to hone their knife-edged chops and spawn a talented band of their own. In addition to Ronnie and Rob, The Travelin’ McCourys, with fiddler Jason Carter, bassist Alan Bartram and guitarist Cody Kilby, will headline the Hot Strings and Cool Breezes Minifest.
Sierra Hull is a rising star, who started performing at the age of 10. She has been named Mandolin Player of the Year for three consecutive years by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA), and was the first woman musician to receive the title. She will be sharing the stage with her husband Justin Moses, an accomplished acoustic instrumentalist who was named IBMA Dobro Player of the Year in 2018.
Also performing that evening will be two-time Grammy Award winner Becky Buller, an accomplished songwriter whose songs have been recorded by some of the biggest names in bluegrass and country music. She’s also an accomplished musician, winning IBMA’s Fiddler of the Year award in 2016. She tours extensively with The Becky Buller Band and has recently released her 4th solo album “Crepe Paper Heart.”
