Unwind this fall and prepare yourself for a cozy winter by truly slowing down. With nature as a guide, you’re invited to let things go and reconnect within via yoga, breathwork, and mindful movement.* Guided meditation and yoga nidra, workshops, group conversation, and journaling practices deepen your journey. Individual 20-minute massage or energy medicine sessions are an added treat.**
Come join us in the stunning natural beauty and quiet of this unique mountain sanctuary. Shrine Mont is a step back to a slower-paced time, with its quaint, clapboard houses, vast hiking trails, and homestyle southern cuisine. (Chefs can also accommodate vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free diets). You’ll have ample time over the weekend to rest, read, and wander the woods–-or do whatever your heart desires.
Lisen (RYT 500, Reiki Level II), your facilitator for the weekend, has been leading retreats at Shrine Mont since 2019, and this fall retreat is her absolute favorite to lead. She is a yoga and meditation teacher, holistic health educator, somatics practitioner, and Mind Body Coach based in Harrisonburg, VA. She returned with her family to the Shenandoah Valley almost 10 years ago, after years of working in education and nonprofit work abroad. Her passions include literature, travel, holistic health, time in nature, and community building, along with ample time spent with family and friends.
Charlotte practices Stone Medicine, a traditional indigenous wellness modality which builds holistic health through hot/chilled stone massage, aromatherapy, sound healing, and healing touch. She is a certified teacher of Stone Medicine, as well. She is also a visual artist and previously worked in mental health, trauma-healing, and peacebuilding. This background allows her to provide trauma-informed care and safe space in her private practice, Wild Poppy Healing Arts. She lives outside Harrisonburg, VA with her family and enjoys gardening (including native gardens), hiking, yoga, and writing her blog.
