The Next 50 Years

Since 1962, the Shrine Mont camps have grown to serve over 700 children. As we celebrate their 50th anniversary, Shrine Mont, which provides the camp facilities, and the Diocese of Virginia, which runs Shrine Mont camps, and have entered into an exciting joint venture to identify what is needed to keep our camp facilities vibrant and thriving into the future.

In September and October, there were a series of Discernment Gatherings throughout the Diocese where diocesan and Shrine Mont  leaders offered information about the camps and  Shrine Mont, provided attendees with information regarding upgrades and identified needs for the camps, and gathered valuable feedback from attendees. Discernment is a time to prayerfully consider what God is calling us to do. As the Shrine Mont camps celebrate their 50th anniversary, it is a good time to look at what our camp facilities need for the future. It is your vision which is critical to maintaining and strengthening the future of our camps.
